"Super beautiful romantic hotel. They upgraded our room just because no one was using the superior room, super beautiful bathroom and nice bed, beautiful restaurant and mountain views. I will advise that the town is pretty dead during the time we were there (start of may) with nothing open. If you are looking for a calm day to relax after a hike , it's a great place, but there is not much to do other than hike and there is no food other than the hotel."

"Overall the hotel is good. Friendly staff and very helpful. Daniel & Marina were professional and super awesome. No restaurants close by. Maybe they were closed as it is not the season for skiers in April. The biggest drawback is there is no proper electrical outlets. They have a couple in odd places and it’s not convenient to charge laptops, iPhones, ipads etc. make sure to have an extension wire and proper Swiss adapters. They do not have electric kettles in rooms nor encourage you to...

"We stayed at Hotel Baren for 3 nights and really enjoyed it. The rooms are very clean and a good size. It is in a good location to explore the town and we also thought it was very reasonably priced."

"This is a lovely well-maintained property, and overall we enjoyed our stay. Lots of interesting vintage memorabilia and antiques. My low rating is primarily due to the tiny bathroom with no counter space and an absolutely treacherous bathtub. You have to step very high to get into the tub, and then it’s just unbelievably slippery. Feared for my life!"
