"Pretty rough, toilet would not flush unless assisted by raising tank lid, shower tub ultra slick and very slow to drain, the curtain was see through, cigarette butts scattered outside the door, bedspread was creepy, no shampoo but a tiny bar of soap, light and air leaks at top and bottom of door, only one bug in bath! "The front desk staff was incredibly nice and helpful, giving us lots of tips about the local food options and how to get to Big Bend NP from the park. The breakfast bus looked really cool but we left super early for the park so we did not get a chance to try it out. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. A great place to rest on the way to the national park."

"Danny, the onsite manager, was a godsend. I arrived unexpectedly early and he did his best to accommodate. Don't judge a book by its cover, this place is a real find."
