"We arrived later in the evening than we wanted to and the front desk and restaurant were cleaning up to close for the night. The staff was great and we were able to order food and drinks after 9 hours of travel by plane and car. Our room was fine for the night just don't expect to do anything more than wash your hands or brush your teeth in the tiny bathroom sink. Overall, fine room for an overnight stay, if you're there for more time maybe see if they have a room with a larger bathroom. If I ever make it back to New Zealand and am heading to Mt. Ruapehu, I'll stay here."
"My lodging was a pop up little cabin that had interesting design features that made for a comfortable and convenient stay. Accessed through a little semi covered atrium or vestible that had a table with chairs, bathtub, sofa what was sealed from rain by the roof and from lateral wind directed rain by an open mesh awning that could be shut but not locked leading to the cabin itself which had a larger than expected room with heater, air on, mini fridge, bathroom with shower, and fully blacked out curtains. I had never seen this type of design before. I really enjoyed it as it was well thought out, placing a premium on being able to enjoy the outdoors ie the vestible as the walls (open mesh tarp) are relatively open to the outdoors permitting draughts of cool, fresh air yet as the roof that covers the cabin extends over the vestible provides protection from the elements in bad weather. Would definitely stay again."
"Older charming property with antique furnishes, just an 8 minute walk to a hotel restaurant. Very nice quiet property I would definitely stay here again."
