"Nicely decorated and very clean, cramped and cold though. In a fairly grubby part of town. Very overlooked by other buildings into room. Staff assistance was prompt but there is no in person presence. Quiet at night and good black out blinds. "

"Wide choice of fresh food with all amenities easy to use or staff onhand to assist, and therefore, we looked forward to our breakfast every morning. Set up for the day. Staff even taking us to our room after arriving a little earlier than expected with our cases. All was clean, spacious and comfortable in the room. Lovely shower. Plenty of clean towels. Storage enough for the two of us. Staff always happily noted our return and departure. Very helpful about the area. Reliable and friendly. "

"Great location served by local bus route from centre of town. Convenient cafes and eateries within walking distance as well as the beach front."

"This was our first stay at Hotel du Vin Brighton, and it exceeded my expectations. It was a really nice hotel, clean and very quiet. Drinks in the bar, where also really good and staff where very polite and helpful."

"We love coming here to Drakes Hotel. The staff are so friendly and accommodating, the rooms are lovely (some even with spacious bathtubs too) and the breakfasts are always delicious (and can be served in room which is always a bonus for us since we’re not morning people haha) Great amenities nearby and easy to get a bus (the stops are right outside) or an uber etc. It’s a must for us whenever we’re in Brighton."

"It was all good. However, the entrance of the building did not look good because there were cigarettes butts on the floor. However, the room was very clean."

"Check in is online and painful including the need to upload ID for all guests, and installing the app. The hotel and room PIN Is sent ahead of time and works well. The room is functional and comfortable, everything you need for a stay. Bathroom well appointed with a great shower. Breakfast in the cafe next door with good menu choices. On site staff super helpful, even though it is all supposed to be online. Parking in Brighton is difficult and expensive so see if you can sort it out before you...

"The staff were helpful and friendly, the location is good (easy walk to the centre), the view from my room was superb. But this place is tired, it needs updating, the furniture is tired, the carpet is tacky and it feels neglected. The breakfast is very limited and i suspect that it will be very noisy when there is a show on. The terrace stays open to the small hours and i felt lucky that i stayed on a Tuesday when there was no show and the weather kept people away from the terrace."

"The station is next to the hotel and follow the Taxi signs as the Taxi rank is next to the hotel. Perfect if you don't want to walk far and then need a taxi from hotel to anywhere. I shall stay here again."

"Great room and location"

"Staff were lovely, as was breakfast and the bar. But the rooms and decor are the key feature of this hotel and certainly make it unforgettable. Our room and bathroom were not huge but more than adequate and comfortable. The theming of the rooms, corridors, stairways and bar area is amazing, thoughtful, creative and makes this hotel worth a stay for sure, as does the cheeky nature and sense of humour. We will likely be back just to try a different room! Thanks"

"You need to get the keys from the pub next door, I don’t think I saw any staff in the hotel It’s noisy when people are coming into the hotel at night, so not the most restful night sleep, but well priced if you just need somewhere to sleep after a night out"
