The Brighton Recreational Area was really nice. We visited one of the beaches and it was well taken care of (not the restrooms though), and clear water. My kids loved looking for fish.

Brighton seems nice. Enough shops and restaurants. Not very walkable. Will come back during Summer and enjoy it much more for sure.
