Lovely old Queenslander style decor. Not too many rooms so it’s quiet and doesn’t seem crowded. Comfortable, with good facilities and handy location. Great value for money.

Worth what you pay

My stay at the Minto - Hostel was worth the money I paid. House was generally quiet although the walls are very thin and you csn hear people walking above you, if your room is downstairs. The manger tries her best with signs to remind all guests of this with signage. Room was comfortable with a fan and clean.

Value for money

Everything was very well managed. Its just that the walls were very thin and so, you ought to make no noise after 10pm.

Cheap accommodation close to the city

This was very cheap and the rooms were actually ok. However, the noise from the street right outside our window was incredibly disturbing.

Lovely guest house close 2 CBD and easy bus access

Heritage listed guest house well maintained and providing good amenities. No air con in summer heat was a disadvantage. Some noisy guests not heeding house rules regarding consideration of other guests after 10pm was sad. Manager very helpful with bus and train info. Public transport access to CBD very good. Clean facilities and sheets n additional towels provided on requests. Good accommodation provided at a reasonable cost. Happy to stay there again in the future.

Perfekt för syftet!

Vi var två tjejer på backpacking resa genom Australiens örtkust. Vi stannade i brisbane två nätter för att ta oss till lonepine zoo. Hostlet var perfek! Riktigt hemtrevligt, rent och mysigt! Enda negativa är att de ligger en bit från stan och det är lite bökigt att ta sig dit, speciellt med 15kg på ryggen! Man delar badrum men de är jättefrächt och fint! Dessutom var wi-fit grymt bra men man fick betala för det.

Nice stay

Stayed over New Year 2015/16. No aircon so a little too warm for a good nights sleep. Kitchen very well equipped. Baths but no plugs. Lovely old Queenslander house, must have been very grand in it's day. The area is close to Southbank which is what we really liked about Minto. Would stay here again, just maybe when it wasn't so hot.

good hostel for the price

Clean room but a little bit small. Nice big and fully furnished kitchen. Very calm which was really good. Nice terrace to enjoy a breakfast or a diner. Staff was helping when present.

Nice Hostel Close to West End

I thought this was an excellent choice of accommodation for my friends and I to stay whilst visiting Brissy for Supanova. This hostel was close to West End which was an amazing part of South Brisbane. Very much like Newtown in Sydney. Staff were super friendly, even the other guests were friendly to each other as well. Good atmosphere and felt like a home.

Great location, aptly sized room. No tea and coffee making facilities in room, but large equipped communal kitchen. not bad for what it was, and great price. :)

Nice clean hostel close to south bank and west end

Chilled out staff. Great kitchen, fully equipped. Very clean bathrooms. Nice deck to sit and enjoy breakfast or a cup of tea. Easy stay.

Convenient location, room was clean

For the budget I was on, I was happy with Minto. The room was clean, as was the bathroom and I felt safe and secure during my stay. An easy walk to the train station and also in to the city. The walls however are THIN! I felt like I could hear every breath of the other guests, so not exactly a restful night's sleep.

Decent hostel but the staff were not that friendly nor helpful. Hostel staff kept to themselves and did not try to help you learn about the city or the hostel.

Apparemment un soucis persiste entre les services d'Hotels.com et le logiciel de réservation de l'hôtel, ce qui a fait que je me suis retrouvé sans chambre à mon arrivée. Mais le personnel a trouvé une solution de rechange. La prochaine fois, je les contacterais pour demander confirmation. La chambre était propre, mais les murs sont assez fins, c'est une maison coloniale transformée en backpacker. Par contre la cuisine et les pièces communes sont propres et bien équipées.
