The Dial House

"Lovely old building and themed rooms. We were allocated the China room as we told the hotel ahead of time we were celebrating our Sapphire wedding anniversary so it was lovely that it was all blue. My only criticism was that in hindsight, it was a very expensive hotel with no reception, no spa (we booked into the orange grove for treatments but assumed it was a proper spa with swimming pool only to find it was just rooms adjacent to the hotel.) £210 per night was a tad over the top just for a room and take away breakfast. Breakfast was a selection from the bakers within the hotel where we were able to choose 1 sweet, 1 savoury, one piece of fruit and a drink… however, the savoury dishes were not delivered until 10am so well past our breakfast time. We were however able to eat it outside in the sunshine at tables provided. I think the setting was lovely but we could have got far more for our money elsewhere"

"What a great find. Room 5 was clean & well appointed with a lovely comfortable bed. Fluffy white towels in the bathroom with nice toiletries. Staff were really accommodating about an early breakfast and evening meals were generous and good value. Only slight disappointment was that you could hear a gentle beat of the music in the pub below but this stopped at closing time. However, altogether a great stay and would readily return. Thank you to all the staff - you were amazing."

"Ideal location. Enjoyed playing the golf course. Pretty good condition given the difficult hot and dry weather and lack of rain. Would certainly be happy to return."

"The room was spotlessly clean with lovely new carpets and bathroom. We stayed in an executive suite which had a lovely view of the golf course. It was a very hot weekend and the window hardly opened with no air con (just a fan that did very little as the large window let a lot of heat in). If it had air con we would have been very happy. Breakfast was very nice, lots of space everywhere, and our room was quiet even when a party was going on in the front of the building. The swimming pool/sauna/steam room included in the price and a nice relaxing thing to do (just need £1 for locker and they lend you towels). Staff were all friendly."

"Lovely stay made better with the kind , helpful and friendly staff. Especially Bryony who served us in the evening and breakfast the next day. Also the lady who ran the breakfast on the Friday and our lovely waitress on Thursday night. Your staff make this place so welcoming. Food was amazing both breakfast and evening meal. Only negative was our room needed an update, it is a lovely traditional room but had no shower screen, or proper shower, towels were thread bear and very little. Bed was a lovely four poster, but too small. Chairs by tv were uncomfortable and no plug socket near a mirror. Just minor things. Fan in the room was a big plus as the weather was incredibly hot. Hotel is in beautiful surroundings and literally a few steps to Blickling Hall."
