Country Inn & Suites By Radisson, Dunbar - Charleston
4/10 Poor
"Our bathtub was creepy.
Couldn't stabilize our temperature in room plus loud fan!
Waffle iron was dirty. Waffle batter didnt work well. But i liked they had sugar free syrup. Breakfast was fair.
Wakened by doors banging loudly every time someone left their room.
Location good just nw of Charleston."
"The hotel was freezing and notified by staff the heating/ cooling equipment was old. They provided a space heater for room that helped. The carpets were filthy, the wallpaper was stained with lord knows what. This hotel is in need of a complete overhaul."
"If you need a budget place in a pinch, i suppose this will do. It has the basics. Beyond that, this place was unpleasant. Rooms smell like mold, cracked paint and metal everywhere, blankets and towels stained. Avoid unless you're desperate or you have very low standards and expectations. "
Holiday Inn Express Charleston-Civic Center by IHG
8/10 Good
"Breakfast was the best of all the Holiday Inns we stayed in the last 4 days. Good tasting and room was clean. Give the hostess a bonus.
Placed in room 100, next to lobby. Not good. Could hear late guests arriving.
Also, did not appreciate the 0530 wake up call which I did not ask for."
"We paid for a corner room with two queen beds and a sofa roll away bed. When we got to the hotel, the person at the front desk did not provide us with the room we paid for. She was rude and deflecting...
An elevator did not work and the stairs could only be accessed from outside the property...
There were lack of staff all around... in the front desk, in the breakfast area, in the hallways.... Children played in the swimming pool and went to their rooms without drying themselves... Therefore, the elevators were full of water, nobody showed up to clean... A meeting room in front of the elevators had a dinner reception and the tables were not cleaned for at least 20 hours...
We expected more from this hotel and their staff. Not staying there again... "
