"Staff were helpful, the room was clean and parking was on site which was nice. The grounds around the hotel were quite nice which had many orange and lemon trees loaded with fruit. Pool was being cleaned when we were there and we would not go into the pool even though staff said that we could. It was quite dirty. The hotel is about a 20 minute ride into the heart of Coimbra. We would recommend a taxi or Uber since parking is very hard to find in Coimbra. "

"The hotel charged a breakfast fee for my 4-year-old child that was even higher than the adult breakfast price, which is different from what was stated on Hotels.com. In addition, a staff member who said they had been working there for only two months was rude and unprofessional in their attitude. This was a very disappointing experience and I regret choosing this hotel."

"We have been returning customers in this hotel for a few years now, we have to start saying that the staff are always friendly and helpful, so kudos to them.. What I have found out is that due to the terrible storms they have experienced a lot of water damage, the room where I was staying, the water was inside the walls and around the windows, this was covered behind the curtains, there was also mold building up inside the walls which I could smelled it as soon as I have entered the room; the same day I went to the receptionist and she gladly found a room in a lower floor, no water damage but the toilet wasn’t working properly, and only because the hotel was fully booked due to a bicycle race happening in the city that weekend we couldn’t ask for a better room. The staff was doing their best to pleased everyone, I understand that this is a very difficult times due to the situation but the hotel should have someone check all the rooms and make sure that they are a okay to receive guests. I hope they get it together here soon and become again the clean and fabulous boutique hotel they used to be."

"A nice and big room with a balcony. Staff is ok. Breakfast is very simple. Pool is nice. The hotel located in the small village that make the area very quiet. I enjoyed my stay there. "

"The room was beautiful and charming but very small making it difficult to walk passed the bed into the bathroom. Since we were there to enjoy the scenery and not the actual room, it’s very workable. The toilet had some issue and didn’t always flush, had to get assistance a couple of times even though we only stayed overnight, but not a deal breaker. The breakfast was nice and the staff very accommodating. The location was beautiful walking distance to an amazing beach and many local restaurants and boutiques. I recommend this place and location for a great getaway :)"

"When the gate opened to go into the property our jaws dropped. GORGEOUS VIEW!!! Can’t describe with words. Pool, umbrellas , lawn chairs, up on the mountain with a million dollar view of the beaches down below. Marie, the Best!!! Great food, great service, comfy rooms. We’re grateful to have had the opportunity to be there. "
