"We had such a lovely stay at Nuaku! The hotel is tucked away in the middle of a beautiful, lush jungle, surrounded by wildlife, greenery, and all the wonderful sounds of nature. The property felt very peaceful, clean, and safe, and throughout our stay we genuinely felt at home. The staff made our experience especially memorable. El Silencio Lodge and Spa

Toro Amarillo

10/10 Excellent

Once you've marvelled at your surroundings, your accommodation and the facilities, thinking that you must be dreaming, the staff and management just embrace you and you are part of the family. I travelled on my own but it was the same for couples too. All the staff at El Silencio are professional to the nth degree and their customer service first class but in a relaxing way that makes one feel at home. A fellow guest on the day of departure said she felt as though she was saying goodbye to her...

Tree Houses Hotel Costa Rica

Florencia

10/10 Excellent

Booked the tree house as a special treat and it was wonderful. The Sloth House, which we had booked was a little close to the road, but we were offered a larger tree house with a hammock (my partner loves hammocks!) for the rest of our stay which was perfect. The whole area is teeming with wildlife and a couple of trails through the forest and down to the river. The service was friendly and breakast good. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we were even visited by a couple of toucans on our...

We arrived very late at night due to a 4 hour delay on our flight. We were warmly greeted and shown to our lodge. It was clean and very comfortable just what we wanted after our very long day. The next morning the view from our balcony took our breath away, we were totally in the rainforest!! It was difficult to get the kids out of the hammocks on the balcony as they could have lazed there all day. Breakfast is simple but delicious- all freshly cooked. We only stayed 2 nights but I wish we had...

Hotel Lomas del Volcán

La Fortuna

10/10 Excellent

We loved our stay at Lomas del Volcán and can't recommend it highly enough. One of the best hotels we've stayed at. We received an extremely friendly welcome and throughout our stay nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Breakfast was amazing, with so many exciting options. The bar offered a great menu (we didn't try the restaurant) and the swim-up bar was a real highlight, especially as it was in a heated pool. So cool, with great cocktails and smoothies. Our kids loved the pools and...

Blue Morpho Lodge

Bajos del Toro

10/10 Excellent

We loved our stay here. The grounds of the property are beautiful and interesting with lots of birds and butterflies (note there is some small construction going on at the moment but this didn’t affect us). It was a relaxing and peaceful place for a few days with excellent hiking nearby to the waterfalls and river swimming pools. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and the enclosed seating area at the front of each cabin, with fresh coffee provided, was a great place just to sit for a while....
