Definitely a place to experience what it’s like to stay in the Cotswolds. Very quaint inn with its rustic look and feel. Staff was very nice and the ability to dine at their sister property across the street (the Mermaid) was a plus.

Friday Night Stay in Burford

Very nice Hotel,small car park but plenty of free parking within a short walk . Well maintained comfortable room, excellent breakfast, would visit again.

We thought we booked a standard room above a pub, but we were very pleasantly surprised at the luxury and roominess, comfortableness, the modern but in keeping with the style bathrooms and the quiet.

Fantastic weekend stay in the Cotswolds

This was our second stay at the Golden Pheasant and again, it didn't disappoint. We came for the weekend to do some Christmas shopping and have a festive getaway and we loved every minute. Check in was easy, our room was lovely with a free standing bath and breakfast was superb. Also had a drink in the bar upon arrival which was decorated nicely for Christmas - we'll be back again.

The property is conveniently located. Parking limited on site but loads around the hotel. Hotel was a luttle stuffy no through air. Staff helful and friendly. Breakfasts really excellent.

Stayed here for a wedding reception. We were in a courtyard room, it was ok, I think the decor needs a bit of an update. The room was clean but very warm. Breakfast was good.

Very enjoyable stay

Building is a really old Cotswold pub. Rooms small but adequate. Situated in the middle of the main street. Lots of shops, restaurants, cafes and pubs withing an easy stroll. On-site parking limited. Staff friendly, included breakfast was great - not many options but the full english was fantastic.

We stayed in Burford as we were attending a wedding at The Stone Barn. The staff were helpful and accommodated an early check in so that we could change, which was appreciated. Room was fine but a bit noisy as our room was on the road. Breakfast next stay was ok, not quite to our taste but staff pleasant and helpful.

Our Nightingale room stay

Staff welcoming! Room poor, lights in bathroom were down to one bulb, mould on wall in bathroom, floors not hoovered or cleaned, sheets clean but need updating, to only had 3 working channels, carpet wet next to front door, beer flat, didn’t smell right either

The Golden Pheasant attracted me and my wife because we wanted to lodge in a quaint hotel, somewhere in the Cotswolds. The hotel and the city of Buford generally met our expectations, but we found sleep difficult. The night of our visit followed a warm day and the windows in our room had been painted or nailed shut. Of course, there was no air conditioning, so we sweated out the night.
