"I have stayed at the English Inn for years but since the remodel it is fabulous! The rooms are clean, the shower pressure and water temperature are great. The staff is friendly and welcoming. The pool is heated and a big part of our stay. The upgrades are appreciated but so glad the original feel of the hotel is still there. "

"Check in staff was absolutely terrific! Great customer service! She was thorough but didn’t speak too fast instead relayed all pertinent info for my stay in a conversational manner with politeness. Room was great. "

"It was a pretty good stay, a body pillow would’ve made the stay better. Shower pressure was a little low and a hand held shower head would help with the low pressure so you could get the soap off better. It is nice having the complimentary bath supplies. $6 for a bottle of water is a little steep so I didn’t partake of it. I like fancy water but that was a little excessive. I will stay again if needed in Charlottesville it’s a good location and feels pretty safe with the lighting at night. "
