"Ok apartment, but Studio Apartments 1-4 are in one block in a row overlooking pool and common kitchen - walls are thin and not sound-proof. Tropical tree-line surroundings are nice. Shower is big Yay. "We loved our four days at the Fitzroy Island resort . It’s clean and semi modern enough to feel a little pampered but relaxed enough to walk around in bathers and wetsuits with snorkels on top of your head . We went in July and the pool was too cold to use unfortunately, as it looked great . We snorkelled two or three hours a day and saw Turtles, reef fish , a Lion fish , Nemo , Stingrays . Reef sharks , even a bait ball ! Differently relaxing and easy . The walk up to the summit was a great...

"Rooms were nicely decorated however for a 5* resorts I was expecting the bathrooms to be modern and beautiful. They were not! And also we found (we had 3 rooms) mould in all showers. Reception and staff from La Mesa were very friendly however staff at the pool bar were not nice and cocktails were not up to the quality we expected from again a 5* resort. Very noisy due to school hols and kids take over all amenities. We will not be back as it didn’t provide value for our money and it was not a 5*...

"Honestly, I didn’t visit the pool, so I can’t rate that. It has a good location, the room is clean, nice shutters (!) and everything is there. But, the bathroom is not that clean; you can see that they put spray the walls…but don’t use a cloth. The room is outdated. Nothing more than just practical."

"everything about this property was lovely. only thing, kids could find the gaming console (not that i minded lol) and the ad made it sound like the pool was just outside but infact its a small stroll down the road. still enjoyed our swim etc but was one of the deciding factors to stay here when we thought the pool was right there. But that's nothing major, everything else was as described and beds were comfy. would recommend :) "
