We stayed at the Parador de Cambados for our wedding week. The building is beautiful, the decor tasteful and authentic, and the beds are SO comfortable! The pool and outdoor area were also gorgeous — peaceful, private and relaxing. The rooms could benefit from a few modern essentials, such as plugs beside the bed and walk-in showers. Unfortunately, the service let the experience down. The hotel knew it was our wedding week, yet there wasn’t even a simple “congratulations” or any acknowledgement, which felt disappointing considering the occasion and price. We’re younger than most guests and sometimes returned late after wedding celebrations. The attitude from reception often made us feel like we were doing something wrong. Most disappointing was breakfast the morning after our wedding. We accidentally arrived 20 minutes late for our slot and, despite explaining and apologising in Spanish, a member of staff rudely told us there was probably no space. Five minutes later, a Spanish family of four arrived without any booking and were immediately found a table. We raised this with reception but didn’t even receive an apology. A beautiful, peaceful hotel, but if you’re looking for warm, relaxed or youthful hospitality, this probably isn’t the place.

Beautiful historic hotel with spacious well-designed rooms, if a bit dated... lovely garden cafe area and wonderful staff. the pool area could be easily improved by putting out nicer lounge chairs and tables and getting rid of the plexiglass around the pool, but so nice to have a place to cool off during hot summer hours! Excellent location minute away from central downtown location. think this is definitely the best place in town!

I found the hotel overall to get great. The rooms and all facilities were excellent. The location was also excellent. Unfortunately there was a front desk employee that was extremely rude and unpleasant that soured the whole experience. If it wasn't for this employee I would of rated the hotel excellent. I was part of a large party of people there for a wedding and we all were complaining about this employee.

The hotel looked as though it was hundreds of years old, but had been updated so all the amenities were up to date. The hallways had great classic artwork and the view from our room was beautiful. All the people working there were extremely friendly and it was very convenient to walk to the water, restaurants and shopping. My wife thought the bed was the mist comfortable she had slept in for a long time.

A good option if you want to spend time in Cambados- very central and within 2 minutes walk of the old town and very nice restaurants. Great to have a pool as well (albeit it doesn’t open until 11am). This is not, however, as nice as other paradors we have stayed at- the bathroom was tired, the room smaller than others and the aircon was poor. Some of the staff were also not very helpful. That all said, it’s still a great base to explore the region- just not a destination in itself.

Great stay - lovely pool area.

Staff very efficient. Ordered a taxi for us even though way before we checked in. Good parking and location. Bathroom huge. Nice to sit by pool in the afternoon. Towels from front desk. Breakfast expensive so went to local coffee shop. Lots of great restaurants nearby.
