Excellent room, quiet, spacious and clean. Trivial niggle with a couple of failed light bulbs but not a big issue. Good food, sensible prices and excellent service at dinner on the first night. Discovered reservation for Saturday dinner, placed with front desk on the Friday evening, wasn't recorded but, on arrival for our meal, we were accommodated anyway. We then discovered that the hotel had apparently been booked for some sort of corporate event and the full, published menu wasn't available to other residents because of kitchen and serving staff capacity. As a consequence, the service at dinner and breakfast the following morning was slow and somewhat of a disappointment to us and other 'non corporate' guests. A queue for check out on the Sunday morning was also an irritant.
The biggest disappointment was the fact that The Felix clearly has the potential to live up to a 4 star rating but lack of attention to detail and the poor balance between individual and block booking priorities seem to have precluded delivery.
Curiously, in spite of these comments, we both feel inclined to maybe try another stay but not on a Saturday!
