"The room was OK and what you would expect from a Motel 6. The hall way outside the room was filthy with food wrappers, dirt and crumbs. Stepping out the back door was garden of cigarette butts that had not been picked up for several days, Here is my main conplaint, one that needs urgent attention. I booked the room through Hotels,com for $316.86. Upon check out my bill was $329.73. I immediatelly told the clerk,who was the motel manager that the amount was wrong. She said she could not change the bill since I booked through Expedia??? Hearing that, I knew the motel has a long list of problems, and I will not be staying with motel 6 in the future."

"I feel bad writing this because my beliefs teach me to either say something positive or stay quiet. However, I believe the purpose of these surveys is to help identify issues so improvements can be made. Unfortunately, we had a very disappointing experience during our stay. When I arrived and opened the cabinet door to place our food in the refrigerator, the door immediately fell off because it was broken. I called twice requesting it to be fixed, but nothing was done. Later that night, when I sat on the bed in Room 130, the bed leaned heavily to one side and felt broken. I contacted maintenance, but I was told it was too late (around 9:30 PM) to repair it. They did offer another room, but since I was traveling with my children and we had two connected rooms, moving was not really possible because there were no other connected rooms available. The next morning, I tried to make coffee, but the coffee machine in the room was not working. I called the front desk, and they told me I could get coffee from the restaurant instead. However, when I went there, the server only allowed me one cup and said each guest needed to come personally. I understand the policy, but the front desk had informed me that since our coffee machine was broken, I could get coffee for all four of us. In the end, I only took one cup because it was not worth arguing over, and I could easily buy coffee elsewhere. Unfortunately, the issues continued. "The Larkspur Landing staff are wonderful. I accidentally booked the wrong room and they waived the transfer fee. They’re one of very few hotels in the area that allow pets and have kitchenette’s. Because I brought my dog, they were able to accommodate my request to be on the first floor near an exit door. The room was nice and clean. The kitchen was stocked with the basics. The bed... The bed was terrible. It was way too soft. I don’t have a bad back and can pretty much sleep anywhere. But it was so uncomfortable that on the morning of check out I couldn’t wait to get up and go home. Another notable mention is parking. The hotel charges an additional $12 per night to park on the property with the option to park on the street. I personally don’t feel comfortable leaving my car parked overnight on the street quite a distance from the hotel. For me $12 is not going to make or break the stay but it’s just something worth mentioning. "
