"The personnel at the Reception Desk lacked a smile and sympathy. When checking in, since my room was not available i asked if they had a bottle of water and the receptionist said oh not here, go to the bar. I did and right there I paid 5 euros for 2 tiny bottles of water. That detail doesn’t cost much and the hotel projects a much better attention and comfort. "

"I loved my stay at Barcelo Valencia. The hotel is lovely, the staff attentive and helpful and the location perfect. Right next to the riverbed/ park so it is an easy walk to centre of the city or the beach. The science centre/ oceanographic/ conference centre is right by the hotel. Lots of patisserie’s and restaurants nearby as well so easy to find a good place to eat. I had a great stay at this hotel, the room was spacious and the cleaning staff are excellent. I will definitely stay again. "

"The rooms are comfortable and spacious. Staff were friendly and helpful. The location is good especially for the science museum and Oceanography which are just on the doorstep. There wasn’t really a proper bar area except For the rooftop bar which was closed because of the weather. "

"If you enjoy and are able to walk, it is a fine walk along the river park to the historical center. Approx 1.9 kilometers away. Else, there is lots of public transportation. "
