Kiota Inn & Event Center Sutter Creek, an Ascend Collection Hotel
4/10 Poor
"This hotel was not what I expected. When I walked in, there was a strong odor - the only way I can describe it was that it smelled like a wet dog, covered up with cleaning supplies. I get it, as pets are allowed, but I’m very sensitive to smells and it was hard for me to overlook. The room was okay except the smell carried throughout. The shower was mildly warm, and the carpet was very matted - it needs a shampoo or to be replaced, which I think would help the smell and overall feel more comfortable. The staff was very friendly and I slept fine, however I probably wouldn’t return."
"The staff I encountered were great. They were accommodating and the beds were comfortable!
The area is beautiful and we had a nice view from the back windows.
It was a little loud overnight- but, typical hotel behavior. It was Saturday night.
My main complaint and why I didn’t give them 5 stars all around was the floor was a bit dirty and the curtain rod was broken but had been positioned to stay up.
Overall, decent experience and the staff made up for areas lacking. "
"I can't say enough about this place. Amazing staff (Tressa), amazing location (1/2 block to downtown), wonderful restaurant on site. The staff bakes warm cookies in the evening for the guests, and they drop off fresh baked scones in the morning with hot coffee. Unbelievable...definitely going back!!!"
"I come over from Nevada every 2 weeks to stay there the weekend. An issue that needs to be addressed is with housekeeping staff. I always pay for late check out which is at noon, bearing in mind that maid service is requested they don't automatically just come clean your room. But I had repeated knocks on the doors starting at 9:00 a.m. from made staff. I paid for late checkout which is at noon and the door knocking begins about 10:30. This morning on Sunday we're repeated knocks on the door starting at 10:30 all the way up until we checked out at noon. This is not acceptable in any way shape or form we harassed about made staff getting into your room, when maid service is upon request and we had filed for late check out. You can have the room when we're done with it at noon until then it is not necessary to keep knocking. Kind of pissed me off actually. Other than that it's a great place to stay. But this will be addressed at a higher corporate level"
"No photos do the Grand Reserve the true justice it deserves as one of the memorable stays of mine for the past twenty years!
The villa was perched in the middle of a vineyard, across a bridge in the rolling hills of Plymouth. We were checked in personally by Russ who had prepared a charcuterie board for our arrival in the room. The room was well appointed and comfortable, and views of vines from two directions.
The common areas include a courtyard, large great room and beautiful patio area with two firepits and lots of seating.
My wife has several dietary restrictions, but breakfast both mornings was designed to accommodate her needs and wow our palates! It was entirely unexpected to be as good as it was!
Do yourself a favor and book at this property- it was a truly memorable experience from start to finish."
"We had a very nice stay at Rodeway Inn. The staff was
friendly and helpful, the room was very clean and our stay
felt safe. Next time we're in town we will stay there again.
Good Job Guys!"
"The TV didn’t work. The toilet seat was broken. The hairdryer didn’t work and then we woke up with Aunt and us in our bed all over my child and myself and they did nothing to help us no refund no change of room no nothing it was the worst day I’ve ever had in my entire life. I recommend you looking elsewhere if you’re looking for a place to stay"
