My wife and I stayed here for our honeymoon and had the most amazing visit, with a picturesque view overlooking the vineyards. The hotel is in the middle of Banhoek Valley, near fantastic vineyards and a short drive to both Stellenbosch and Franschhoek. Nadia and the rest of the staff were incredibly helpful as we planned our days. Would love to visit again soon

Beautiful location.

This was a last minute book for us but we were so glad we got to stay here. The views from the room were incredible. It was a beautiful hotel and the staff were lovely. The breakfast was also so delicious! And being able to eat outside with the views were just amazing.

Beautiful escape in the winelands!

Absolutely loved our stay here, our room was huge and the views were unreal, woke up every day feeling like we were in a dream. Delicious hot breakfast every morning. The cherry on top was the in-room massages we arranged - for sure the highlight of our stay. Highly recommend staying here if you plan on stopping in the winelands for a few days!

Magnificent view from bedroom. Staff friendly. Rooms are large but a little tired. Need more than one lamp for use during loadshedding. Need to invest in generator or inverter as rooms get very hot if no aircon on during loadshedding.

Stunning bedroom views from this lodge and exceptional service and kind attitude from Shannon ! Food was also great. It’s an older lodge that has been upgraded with excellent bathroom fixtures and main bedroom lighting. Wifi is a little slow, early morning hot water taps need to run a bit before hot water arrives and the sliding partition in our room 2 needs to be replaced with a frosted glass door as the current wooden sliding partition is a little stiff to open . Otherwise an excellent choice for your next vacation !

Loved my stay at this lodge. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The lodge itself is located in a quiet picturesque region with spectacular mountain views. The rooms are well appointed, clean and very comfortable. The addition of a fire place in the room was awesome as the nights were cold. Breakfast was fresh and delicious and the wait staff ensured you had a great start to your day. We found the location pretty central to everything and the parking was safe and secure. Would highly recommend.

I can’t say enough good things about this resort! Banhoek Lodge completely blew me away! Elegant styling, & incredible views! Plus, all the staff members we, so warm & welcoming. I booked a wine tour online, & the company did not pick me up my girlfriend, & I. The staff at Banhoek Lodge tried their best to help me get in contact with the company that was supposed come and pick me up. After all of our failed attempts, they found another local company to take my girlfriend, & I around Stellenbosch for the day. The tour guide that they suggested was amazing! They save the day! I only had one day to experience Stellenbosch & they turned a horrible experience into a memorable one! I’ve stay at some of the best hotels in the world, from the Ritz, to the Jumeirah properties in Dubai.. & the service, hospitality, warmth, & helpfulness ranks right up there with them! Thank you for an amazing experience, and all the help that you given my girlfriend, & I during our trip to Stellenbosch. I would refer your property to anyone who asked about staying in Stellenbosch. Much appreciated! 😊

Incredible views and quiet (we were the only guests staying there) but despite that we got put in a room right by reception despite asking for another room. We checked out several days early for several reasons mainly due to the fact that this is very much just a Bed & Breakfast- that’s it- which we hadn’t anticipated. Secondly the night receptionist asked us for money which made us feel uncomfortable especially that given reception do the turn down and go into the rooms where all our valuables are. Breakfast was ok but South Africa cuisine and culinary scene is outstanding- this was not anywhere near the same standards as neighbouring hotels. When we asked for the out of hours snacks (off the menu given to us in the room) we were told it wasn’t possible as they hadn’t done a food order. Banhoek could benefit from a proper coffee machine which would really elevate breakfast. And as nice as they were the staff could do with a bit of training- on asking about local attractions, restaurants and wineries- we were given many blank answers and check in was giving us a key- we had to carry own bags (my boyfriend wasn’t able bodied), figure out how things in the room worked ourselves etc - a bit of orientation would have been welcome.
