Stellar Stay in Cape Town

Accommodations in Greenpoint neighborhood were excellent. Cottage was exactly as pictured and well-equipt for our 4 day / 3 night stay. Staff was extremely communicative prior to arrival.

98 Waterkant...excellent stay!

The property was modern and comfortable. Each bedroom had it's own bathroom and the common areas were comfortable for 2-4 people. The neighborhood was excellent with many restaurants to walk to, a grocery store 1blk away and it felt very safe to walk both during the day and in the evenings. It was great for a longer stay or even just a few days. Finally, the office staff was very responsive and communicated quickly whenever we had any questions.

Standard room in a great part of town. We had a little studio which is fine if you are just palnning to use it as a base for sleeping. Room was rather dark with no outside space or view.

Great Stay

Everything as you would expect from this property, clean well maintained lots of room, views of table top mountain and the V&A would go back again, staff very helpful, only minor issue we had was with a late check in we couldn't contact them on the phone number provided so we had to make sure we arrived before check in closed we're not tec minded with phones so I'm sure there are other ways to contact them via the phone A most enjoyable stay was had One thing to be aware of is the property is on a steep hill, this wasn't a issue for us but could be for others Its about a 20 minute walk to the V&A water front and a 10 minute walk to Long Street, the surrounding area was safe to walk around in the day time, carnt comment for the evening

Property was largely ok - however i found the broadband and TV to be substandard (you couldnt get a wireless signal on the roof terrace for example and the quality of the TV/Satellite signal was unwatchable. The spiral staircase is very very narrow and quite steep - the elderly and anyone with vertigo should be wary of booking this place. Finally the quality of the outdoor furniture on the roof terrace was substandard and needs replacing. On the positive side the kitchen was fairly well equipt, the bedrooms were comfortable and air-conned and generally well maintained/cleaned by the agents.

Really depends on The owners property

First, it really depends on which property you stay in and whether the owner has invested in providing a comfortable and good place to stay in. We have been in two of this management company’s properties and the one we booked with Hotels.com was not the best in terms of luxury quality. Plus side was it’s terrace and the three bedrooms. But one bedroom was street side with a shared bathroom to the second bedroom. Upstairs bedroom had it’s own bathroom and terrace. The bathroom fixtures upstairs needs improvement. Kitchen was basic with open shelves. Washing machine was functional but not working very well. Living area is under glass sky lights and is totally enclosed so you can’t get any air into the area. There is a small tv provided to the guests. Overall, we didn’t like this property and wouldn’t stay there again and changed to a newer apartment with a new kitchen and bathrooms. The second was more comfortable, better bathroom and kitchen fixtures, washer and dryer, interior design was more pleasant and actually matched. Small patio with barbecue, only problem was that we had hot water problems. There is daily light housekeeping and they provide new towels.

Checking in and departure were like clockwork, staff were amazing and informative...we felt secure entire time of day as area regularly patrolled ... amazing neighbourhood and would definitely would book again with De Waterkant Cottages 👍👍👍👍👍

Great base in Cape Town

Absolutely gorgeous apartment in the heart of Cape Town, in a great neighborhood with a beautiful view of Table Mountain and the coast. I only wish we could have spent more time on the many patios!

Anbefales absolutt! Rent, pent og veldig sentralt. Ligger også flere hyggelige steder hvor du kan kjøpe frokost dersom dette er ønskelig. Vi hadde noe problemer med jacuzzien. Selv om problemet ikke ble fikset så ble det forsøkt fikset, og det var tydelig at de ansatte gjerne ville ordne opp. Anbefaler dette stedet, og vil gjerne bo her igjen dersom det blir en ny tur til Sør Afrika

Excellent location - Safe location - lots of things to do nearby - professional friendly staff in office and house keeping... etc There was nothing I did not like about the property - however, it was winter and the plunge pool on the balcony was not heated :( and too cool to use.

Great for busy sight-seers

Really great location. Clean, comfortable and pretty. Because it’s downstairs and you need the shutters closed there is no real natural light and no view so not the place to hang out but ideal if you want to see all the sights and have a nice, convenient place to lay your head in a safe, pretty neighbourhood close to the cute centre.
