A good location about a 10-minute walk from the centre of the city but quite quiet and with sufficient on-street parking. Our en suite room was slightly on the small side but good value. Friendly host. Excellent full English breakfast. Overall, very good value for money.

Comfortable stay

We had a comfortable night with 4 of us in the Family Room. (great not to have the two kids sharing a double bed!!) Welcome was warm and friendly, breakfast in the morning had enough options for all of us and was tasty. We were just disappointed with our attempt at finding dinner aournd 6.30pm on a Saturday in Carlise - it was a ten minute walk from the B&B but it seemed to be happy hour and was pretty horrific trying to negotiate the streets with our little ones!
