Well stocked room with great selection of optional extras such as early check in— much appreciated after an overnight international flight. Great location with proximity to all the main attractions. "Nice modern room, great shower, king bed was a Scotland king, equivalent of a US queen. The mattress was hard, no pillow topper, could have used a couple. In addition the room was advertised as having A/C, however, it did not work. I called the front desk and they said they would try to lower the temp for me…it also did not work. The top of the window opens but very little air comes in and lots of noise. I specifically booked this hotel because of the A/C. Great staff and restaurant. Also very nice free driving service to airport and back."

"I stayed here one night before catching a flight back to London. The hotel sits on beautiful property. I saw quite a bit of wildlife and spent a couple hours bird watching whilst there. There appeared to be a lot of activities available besides the obvious golf. I ate dinner in the Brasserie and had breakfast in the main restaurant. The service was good; the food was okay.The room had ample space, was well laid out, and had important amenities: tea kettle and fridge. My only issues were: 1. The room was tired -- especially the bathroom. There was moldy grout and it needed a remodel; 2. The sound proofing between rooms was poor. When the guest above me walked around it sounded like I had an elephant on my ceiling; and I could hear the people next door. It's a big hotel -- there were tour buses and golf tourists. I don't know if I'd stay here again. "

"Room was clean and modern but noisy from highway traffic. The breakfast not worth it. Scrambled eggs were rubbery, bacon and sausage tasted bad. The orange juice machine was empty but was filled when I asked at reception and was very good. Bread was good"

"Great location in old town Edinburgh. Walkable. Clean rooms and courteous staff. This is my 2nd time staying at Stay City ( Dublin -the first time) and was impressed both times. Definitely recommend and my next adventure, if there is a Stay City , I will reserve."
