"This is a charming older hotel and retains a sense of class. The staff is really amazing and they make you feel very special. Don’t expect pillow top beds or rain fall shower heads - it’s definitely an older property but it has good sized, clean rooms with large closets. There’s a lovely roof top sitting area with an amazing view. It’s tricky to get to with a car - no parking or even a pull out for checking in - so if you really need a car to be close to you this isn’t your place - but otherwise...
"I enjoyed my stay at this hotel Alvor. The rooms were decent and a fair size. The hotel staff were accommodating and the spa was very relaxing.
The restaurant on the property but I only ate breakfast there because it was included with my stay. The breakfast buffet was decent and the concentrated on healthier options. Only thing is you have to ask for more food where getting the food options from the kitchen.
If you choose to stay here, it is a good idea to have a car. It is a bit of a walk...
"We loved our stay at the Martinhal Sagres Resort. The property is beautiful! Our beach room, #129 could not have been more lovely. We were given a bottle of yummy tawny port and champagne for our 50th anniversary. The staff was so kind and helpful. Quincy in the restaurant was attentive and personable. Strongly recommend! There were many young families as it is a family resort. "

"This was one of the nicest places I’ve stayed. Very quaint and unique. The facilities and staff were wonderful. Breakfast was top notch. Very walkable to the city center and to the board walk out to the west."
"This is a very small boutique hotel that has been recently updated. It only has 4 rooms and just stairs /no elevator FYI.
The staff are incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful. One thing to note is anywhere in the tourist district is quite noisy at night. This is no fault of the hotel, just a heads up to others that the streets are all very narrow and clay tile so sounds carries very easily.

"Located in easy walking distance to everything, yet quiet in the evenings. Good size room, comfortable bed, nice bathroom. Well kept and extremely clean.
I enjoyed my stay, the staff friendly and helpful. The only thing you need to know is parking is a few blocks away, and it’s not easy to park in front and drop your bags off."

Each little apartment has a living space, bathroom and a well equipped kitchen which includes microwave oven, stove and Smeg espresso machine on the main floor with winding steps up to a loft with a comfortable bed.
