"Excellent location, beautiful property, and affordable. Would like to come back but management communication tools must be used more effectively. Poor communication with reception caused duress and stress during our travel delay, as there was no way to determine if they could hold our room if we checked in late or a day later. I contacted them four times through the Expedia app weeks and days before arriving, and they did not respond at all. Three phone calls to reception went unreturned, and no available way to leave a voicemail. Poor communication again on last day. We spoke with desk staff (in person) and arranged for late checkout. However the next day the staff had no idea we had arranged for late check out. We were bombarded with text messages and Housekeeper knocking on the door to get in before our arranged checkout time. It was a very upsetting ending to a nice stay. They interrupted us by knocking on the door as we were trying to get dressed, and finalize packing. It caused us a lot of unnecessary stress."

"This is a very beautiful building centrally located which allows you to walk to the most interesting places to visit in the city. Its rooms are comfortable with everything you need. The breakfast is delicious and very varied. Staff are great and helpful. Parking can be done in the near Plaza España and you can get a discount with a hotel voucher"

"Our stay at Hotel Los Habaneros was very good. The hotel is extremely clean and well located, just a short walk from the city centre. Breakfast was delicious, and the staff were friendly and always helpful. Cartagena is full of history and truly amazing to explore. Even if you arrive in the evening, don’t miss a walk through the old town all the way to the Roman Theatre of Cartagena — it’s especially atmospheric at that time of day."

"Breakfast hot food cold. Desk clerk didn’t tell taxi where we were going so I had to use translator. No WiFi in rooms, lobby or restaurant. They looked shocked I didn’t report WiFi outage, not my job. Four star hotels are on that stuff. Wouldn’t stay again, needed WiFi."

"Room was very clean. It’s a ground floor apartment and can be a little noisy sometimes when people come in and out of the apartment block. The apartment is located a minute away from the Roman ampitheatre . 5min walk to the harbour front, shops and restaurants. There’s no view as it faces onto the street. Room facilities were good with the exception of the shower which we found difficult to regulate the temperature."
