"Definitely more of a motel than a hotel. Older rooms and decor. I did not use any amenities or even eat breakfast. I was on the first floor surrounded by a very large group of families with small children. Children were running, screaming and crying the entire stay. One child cried at the top of their lungs from the time I got there until I left. I complained at the front desk but they were fully booked and would not speak to any of the families. We were a group of parents of Cornell softball and nobody got any peace or sleep. Breakfast was all roped off forcing you to be seated and waited on for tips. At the price of almost $900 for 2 nights, and being frustrated and exhausted, most of us just went elsewhere for breakfast for some peace. Nobody utilized the bar, lounge by fireplace are anything else. Nobody will be returning and looking for a different location next year. "
"This historic resort is beautiful and quaint. The property is lovely, even in the off-season, and it has a classic charm. As with any older property, it has it's wear and tear, it's clean but not immaculate, the beds are older and could use some updating. The bathroom was updated but not pristine. Overall, it is a nice place to stay, and the staff is very courteous, kind, and helpful! "
