"We were astounded that so many things were not available at this 5 star Hotel when we arrived to 5 days there, where the temperature (as forecasted) was between 28-34 degrees.
1. No Airconditioning in room or elsewhere (apparently a local restriction to do with pollution??? But I went to another hotel to investigate (The Social Hub hotel) where is was fully air conditioned. No mention on Hotels.com website about it.
2. Not allowed in Pool until 1st June (arguably when checking small print on hotels.com website it does say that) but if I put that as one of my search criteria and the the date I'm going, I expect a pool..., again we're told it's a local restriction but the pool was open at The Social Hub Hotel..???
Other problems were, no food available on Sunday evening, had to get reception order us a delivery Pizza, Spa wasn't open and the bareness of it looked like it hadn't been for a while. We were offered a bottle of Prosecco in apology for no pool and on the designated terrace we had to use to sunbath on the Friday. We then decided to drive to the beach an hour or so away for the next 2 days as the terrace was either full shade early in the day or full fun with no shade later in the day. When we thought we'd give the terrace another go on the Monday all our towels, Prosecco bottle and glasses were still there from the Friday, no one had even cleared them up!!!
The manager and staff were apologetic and I blame the OWNERS and Hotels.com for bad info and policies."
