"The location is perfect in Tahoe City, right across the street from The Commons. It was close to great food, drinks and bakery’s. I stayed in room 8, which was on the top floor. The room was spotless, the bedding very comfortable and of high quality. I slept really well and it was very quiet. I appreciated the shampoo, body lotion and conditioner. "This is a very old poorly maintained motel. The Formosa Inn is run by the next door neighbor the Garden Inn. The dark green carpet may be concealing the mold that was evident in the bathroom. The TV was useless and there were only 2 plugs in the room for charging devices. After seeing the room my wife said I will no longer be choosing places we will stay. "This is a beautiful property! It is tucked away in a lovely area with lots of natural beauty. The room was very clean! The bed was really comfortable and beautifully made up with lovely bedding/pillows and such soft sheets. My favorite was the bathroom, with a gorgeous stone/pebble tiled shower and rain shower head with the perfect amount of water pressure. We will be back! "The Harbinson House was a great place to stay for going to a show at Ace of Spades. It is in a beautiful historic neighborhood and the place itself is a quirky historic home.
