"Nice hotel, nice breakfast, great location and I have stayed there many times. The bad part is that they now charge for parking for the first time, which is ridiculous. You can park on the street or anywhere around the hotel for free. For some reason, with booking the hotel on Expedia, I was able to avoid the parking fees. When. I was checking out, the hotel clerk said, "I don't know how you avoided the parking fees!" And I said, "Good! See you later. " Then I left the hotel."

"The cleaning folks were clearly doing as best as they could considering the property itself was in such poor repair. You could see the years (yes, years) of deferred maintenance. The bathtub had new tiles, but the grout and the caulk was so poorly adhered that it was not possible to clean. "Every time I went to the desk, the girl was sitting in one of the massage chairs…she had an excuse for everything…the absolute worst part of the stay was NO ELEVATOR which the girl also had an excuse for…the hurricane and not being able to get parts…how long ago was the hurricane????… also, I asked for a room on the bottom floor and once again the excuse was “there were no bottom floor housekeepers for the day so no rooms were being cleaned”…"

It is in a great location and the staff were very friendly. However, the one HUGE downside was the wedding that was being held onsite. "Wonderful, quiet oasis within walking distance of public beach, state park, kayak launch docks, manatee tours, downtown shopping and restaurants. Clean rooms with simple amenities amd basic complimentary breakfast. I would definitely recommend staying here!"
