"Beautiful house, grounds and pool. Attentive staff and nice food. Really enjoyed our one night stay. A bit difficult to find with sat nav so watch carefully for the brown signs. "
"Excellent hotel in a great position for a pit stop travelling back to Calais. ! Staff were excellent and room clean and fantastic. Had a few drinks in the bar (small but nice) and ate at the restaurant next door which was lovely. I would definitely recommend this hotel! "
"Our host at Au Fer à Cheval was Romain, a friendly and helpful man. He owns about 20 English thoroughbred race horses, as well as breeds them. His farm is in a beautiful location with lovely views. It was unfortunately cold and wet for the two nights that we were there, so we couldn't use the pool, and the roads were too slippery for him to take us out in his horse-drawn carriage, but we did see two of his retired racing mares with their foals. Our room was comfortable and clean, good shower, and a small kitchenette. It's a good idea to take your own tea, coffee and milk with you. Continental breakfast was good and delivered to our room at the time we requested. A good guide book in English of what to do in the area was left in our room, but perhaps the only disadvantage of the place is that it is quite isolated and a long way from any any restaurants. Overall, a lovely place, and we'd recommended it."
"Really lovely hotel. This was a last minute booking and it didn’t disappoint. Lovely big bed, air conditioned, clean and tidy.
Staff were helpful and friendly and the breakfast was delicious and fresh! "
"Our stay was perfect for an overnight during further travel. We had a friendly greeting with information of where to eat. The room was clean and comfortable and a more than adequate breakfast. We were lucky to have a parking space on site but there are not really enough spaces for the number of rooms. "
