You cannot beat this place for the friendly staff. The rooms are spacious and comfortable but nothing beats the view. You are literally on the water. There is a private beach area; the grounds are beautifully kept; it is walking distance to everything and no need to keep up appearances - beach attire is just fine.

Property is the best beachfront location for the price. Very clean. Beach is literally outside your front door and so easily accessible. Rooms were very clean. A 5 minute drive to Main Street Chatham with so many restaurants nearby. Would stay again.

Wonderful location. The view of the ocean was breathtaking. Hotel staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Only thing snag was the cable was out, so no TV for the period we were there, not any fault of hotel.

This quaint throwback inn was refreshing. Not a lot of bells and whistles. However, those were not missed because the room was quiet for rest, substantial in space, outstanding view, and simply comfortable. In terms of cost it was more expensive than we normally prefer but definitely in line with other Cape Cod/Chatham properties. The staff and managers are outstanding. Grateful we stayed at The Hawthorne Inn.

Overall great service, clean rooms, nice location. Found an earwig in my shower one day so that wasn’t great but that can probably happen sporadically in a lot of places. The AC units could be a little over aggressive with the cooling but once you learned how to work it you could change it to the temperature you want. Main complaint is the blankets are kind of thin on the beds so it could get chilly.
