Wherever you're jetting in from, flying can be an enjoyable experience if you've planned ahead. We've made a list of handy travel tips that will get your Alotenango escape started on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Travelling on a plane can be a cruisy experience if you've got all the right stuff. Firstly, you'll need toiletry items, such as toothpaste, a toothbrush and some deodorant, a spare pair of socks and something to read. Next, find a spot in your bag for your electronic devices, chargers, any vital medications and perhaps a neck pillow too. Lastly, and most importantly, remember to bring your passport, travel docs and your bank cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Check carefully that you don't have sharp or pointed objects hiding in one of the compartments of your carry-on luggage. Other banned items include flammable or explosive products, such as aerosol cans and fuel, and gels and liquids in containers with a volume of more than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres).
What to wear on a flight:
- Comfort should be your highest priority when deciding what to wear on board. Loose, breathable clothing is a wise option, as are flat, enclosed shoes.
- Most of us have heard about deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clotting condition caused by long periods of inactivity. To minimize your risk on board, stay hydrated, consider wearing compression socks and move your legs and feet often.
