We've pulled together all the info you need to make your journey as enjoyable as possible. Follow our tips and tricks and you'll be speeding through airport security and discovering Alur in no time at all. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane trip can be a comfortable experience if you carry the right things. First of all you'll need basic toiletries, such as a toothbrush and lip balm, a fresh set of clothes and a magazine or two. Next, find a spot in your bag for your electronic gadgets, chargers, any daily medications and maybe a blow-up neck pillow as well. Lastly, remember to take your passport, travel docs and your credit cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Pack all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hairspray in your checked luggage. Any liquids or gels in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres) won't be allowed on. Sharp objects, like your Swiss Army knife, and dangerous products which are explosive or flammable, such as flares, chemicals agents and fuels, are also banned.
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of an aircraft are no place for a fashion parade. Layer up with comfy clothing and choose shoes that are enclosed, flat and easy to remove.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clotting condition caused by prolonged periods of inactivity, can be a risk on long-haul flights. Walk around the cabin and give your legs a stretch or do some gentle exercises in your seat to improve your circulation.
