Wherever you’re jetting in from, flying can be a pleasant experience if you’ve planned ahead. We’ve put together a list of handy hints that will help get your Bacolod holiday started on the right note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- First of all, put in your passport, travel docs, wallet and daily medications. Next, you’ll need some in-flight entertainment to help pass the time. A thrilling novel and a laptop filled with your favourite shows are some fantastic options. If you plan to catch forty winks, a neck pillow and a pair of earplugs will also be useful. Finally, make room for a toothbrush and some facial wipes to ensure you touchdown feeling fresh as a daisy.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Check carefully that you don’t have sharp objects (like a pocket knife) hiding in one of the zippers of your carry-on luggage. Other banned items include explosive or flammable substances, such as aerosol cans and bleach, and liquids and gels in containers with a capacity of more than 3null4 ounces (100 milliliters).
What to wear on a flight:
- Comfort should always be the goal when selecting what to wear during your flight. Consider your choice of footwear with care too, as swollen feet and ankles are quite common. Roomy, closed-toed shoes are your best bet.
- You’ve probably heard about DVT (deep vein thrombosis), a blood clot condition caused by prolonged periods of sitting. There’s plenty you can do to lessen your risk. Wear a good-quality pair of compression socks, stay well hydrated and keep your legs and feet moving. Do a lap or two of the cabin or perform some simple exercises in your seat.
