We've got the lowdown on how to make your journey an enjoyable experience. Follow our tips and you'll be cruising through airport security and enjoying Bandos Island in no time flat. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane trip can be a cruisy experience if you take the right gear. First things first, you'll need basic toiletries, such as a toothbrush and lip balm, a spare set of clothes and a few magazines. Next, leave space in your hand luggage for your electronic gadgets, chargers, your medications and perhaps a quality neck pillow as well. Last, but definitely not least, be sure to bring your passport, travel papers and your credit cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Pack all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hairspray in your checked luggage. Any gels or liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres) will be confiscated by security. Sharp or pointed objects, like your beloved pocket knife, and dangerous goods which are explosive or flammable, such as flares, bleaching agents and poisons, are also not allowed.
What to wear on a flight:
- Comfort should be your main priority when choosing what to wear during your flight. Loose, breathable clothing is a smart choice, as are flat, enclosed shoes.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clotting condition caused by extended periods of inactivity, can be a risk on long-haul flights. Make a point of walking around the cabin or do some gentle exercises in your seat to improve your circulation.
