If you're poorly prepared, airports and flying can be tough. But don't hit the panic button just yet. Follow these tips and tricks and enjoy a worry-free start to your time in Behram. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- First of all, pack in your passport, travel documents, cash and medications. Next, you'll need some extra in-flight entertainment to help pass the time. A thrilling book and a phone filled with your favourite movies are always good options. If you plan to take a quick nap, a neck pillow and some earplugs will also be useful. Finally, leave some space for a few toiletry items to ensure you arrive at your destination looking fresh and raring to go.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Pack all your full-sized bottles of hair gel and hairspray in your checked luggage. Any liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres) will be confiscated by authorities. Pointed or sharp objects, like your treasured Swiss Army knife, and dangerous products which are flammable or explosive, such as flares, chemicals agents and matches, are also banned.
What to wear on a flight:
- Choose comfort over style. Prepare for temperature changes in the cabin by layering up, and wear flat, easy-to-remove footwear like sneakers.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot condition caused by extended periods of inactivity, can be a risk on long-haul flights. Try to walk around the cabin and stretch your legs or do some simple exercises in your seat to improve your circulation.
