Wherever you're coming from, flying can be an enjoyable experience if you're well prepared. We've made a list of handy tips that will help get your Bernolákovo holiday started on the right note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Air travel can be a stress-free experience if you take the right gear. First things first, you'll need basic toiletries, such as a toothbrush and lip balm, a spare set of clothes and a good novel. Secondly, find a spot in your bag for your phone, tablet and chargers, your important medications and perhaps a proper neck pillow as well. Lastly, and most importantly, remember to bring your passport, travel documents and some money.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Check carefully that you don't have a sharp object hiding in one of the zippers of your hand luggage. Other banned items include explosive or flammable substances, such as aerosol cans and fuel, and liquids and gels in containers with a capacity of more than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres).
What to wear on a flight:
- Your priority is to be as comfortable as you can. Opt for slip-on footwear, dress in loose, breathable clothing and don't forget to take a sweater in case you get chilly in the cabin.
- You've probably heard about deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot condition caused by prolonged periods of inactivity. To lessen your risk on board, drink plenty of water, consider wearing compression socks or tights and do gentle foot and leg exercises in your seat.
