We've pulled together all the info you need to make your flight as stress-free as possible. Follow our tips and you'll be speeding through the airport and enjoying Bunclody in next to no time. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane ride can be a stress-free experience if you've got all the right things. Firstly, you'll need basic toiletries, such as deodorant and a toothbrush, a clean pair of socks and a good read. Secondly, make room in your hand luggage for your phone and charger, any vital medications and maybe a quality neck pillow too. Lastly, and most importantly, don't forget to take your passport, travel papers and some money.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Leave all your full-sized bottles of hair gel and hairspray in your checked luggage. Any liquids in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3null4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated by authorities. Sharp objects, like your precious pocket knife, and products which are flammable or explosive, such as aerosol cans, spray paint and poisons, are also prohibited.
What to wear on a flight:
- The long, narrow aisles of a plane are not the place for a fashion parade. Wear comfortable clothes and pack a sweater as it can get chilly inside the cabin. Flat, enclosed shoes are always a good choice too.
- The condition called deep vein thrombosis (DVT) can pose a risk on long-haul flights. It's the result of blood clots forming due to poor circulation. Walking up and down the aisle and doing leg and foot exercises in your seat is a great way to prevent this happening. Wearing a good pair of compression socks also helps reduce your risk.
