Wherever you’re jetting in from, flying can be an enjoyable experience if you prepare well enough. We’ve put together a list of essential travel tips that will get your Cabrera escape started on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane ride can be a cruisy experience if you take the right gear. First things first, you’ll need basic toiletry items, such as toothpaste, a toothbrush and some deodorant, a clean pair of socks and a magazine or two. Next, make room in your hand luggage for your phone and charger, any medications and perhaps a blow-up neck pillow as well. Lastly, remember to take your passport, travel docs and some money.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Double-check that you don’t have sharp or pointed objects hiding in one of the zippers of your carry-on luggage. Other prohibited items include explosive or flammable substances, such as fuel and matches, and liquids and gels in containers with a volume of more than 3null4 ounces (100 milliliters).
What to wear on a flight:
- Comfort really should be your number one priority when selecting what to wear on board. Consider your footwear carefully too, as swollen ankles and feet are quite common. Roomy, closed-toed shoes work well.
- A condition called deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a risk on long-haul flights. It results from blood clots forming due to poor circulation. Doing regular foot and leg exercises in your seat is a great way to prevent this developing. Wearing a quality pair of compression socks or tights can also help.
