Wherever you're coming from, flying can be an enjoyable experience if you've planned ahead. Check out these handy tips that will help get your Cabrits escape started on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Flying can be a cruisy experience if you carry the right stuff. First of all you'll need basic toiletry items, such as a toothbrush and lip balm, a fresh set of clothes and a good read. Next, leave space in your bag for your phone, tablet and chargers, medications and perhaps a neck pillow too. Lastly, don't forget to take your passport, travel docs and some cash.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Pack all your full-sized bottles of hair gel and hairspray in your checked baggage. Any gels or liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres) will be confiscated by security. Pointed or sharp objects, like your pocket knife, and dangerous goods which are explosive or flammable, such as flares, chemicals agents and poisons, are also prohibited.
What to wear on a flight:
- Comfort should be your top priority when deciding what to wear during your flight. Loose, breathable clothing is a sensible option, as are flat, closed-toe shoes.
- Caused by prolonged periods of inactivity, deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a blood clot condition that can affect some passengers during long-haul flights. Reduce the risks by drinking water, keeping your lower limbs moving and wearing compression tights or socks.
