We've pulled together all the info you need to make your flight as pain-free as possible. Follow our tips and tricks and you'll be zooming through airport security and exploring Carepa before you know it. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Travelling on a plane can be a stress-free experience if you bring the right gear. Firstly, you'll need toiletry items, such as a toothbrush and hairbrush, a clean pair of socks and something to read. Secondly, leave space in your bag for your phone, tablet and chargers, any vital medications and perhaps a blow-up neck pillow too. Lastly, remember to bring your passport, travel docs and your credit cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Check carefully that you don't have a pocket knife lurking in one of the zippers of your carry-on luggage. Other prohibited items include flammable or explosive goods, like aerosols and matches, and gels and liquids in containers with a volume of more than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres).
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of a plane are no place for a fashion parade. Wear layers and opt for shoes that are flat, enclosed and easy to take on and off.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) can pose a risk on long-distance flights. It's the result of blood clots forming due to poor circulation, so do some gentle foot and leg exercises in your seat and consider wearing compression socks or tights.
