Wherever you're coming from, flying can be a seamless experience if you're well prepared. We've made a list of handy hints that will get your Chum Phae holiday started on the right note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- First of all, pack your passport, travel documents, cash and daily medications. Next, you'll want some extra in-flight entertainment to while away the time. A thrilling novel and a tablet crammed with your favourite movies are some terrific options. If you intend to catch more than just forty winks, a neck pillow and a pair of earplugs will also come in handy. Finally, find room for a few toiletry items so you'll step off the plane looking fresh and ready to go.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Put all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and conditioner in your checked luggage. Any liquids or gels in your carry-on bag larger than 3null4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated by security. Pointed or sharp objects, like your Swiss Army knife, and dangerous goods which are explosive or flammable, such as flares, chemicals agents and poisons, are also not allowed.
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of your plane are no fashion runway. Layer yourself up with comfortable clothes and take a sweater as it can get chilly inside the cabin during long-haul flights. Flat, slightly roomy shoes are also a good choice.
- The result of sustained periods of immobility, DVT (deep vein thrombosis) is a blood clot condition that can affect some passengers during long-haul flights. The good news is there are ways to reduce the risk of developing it. Keep your fluids up, get up and wander the aisles as often as possible and wear compression socks or tights.
