If you're poorly prepared, airports and flying can be overwhelming. But there's no need to panic. Follow these handy hints for a worry-free start to your getaway in Cube. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- The trick to having an awesome flight experience is to pack ahead. So, let's start with the essentials: passport, boarding pass, credit cards and vital medications. Next, bring on board items that'll help while away those hours, like some electronic devices or a thrilling novel. It's also smart to pack your chargers, a quality neck pillow and a pair of earphones. And of course, be sure to pop in toiletries like a toothbrush, deodorant and a spare change of clothes.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Check carefully that you don't have sharp objects (like a pocket knife) lurking in your carry-on luggage. Other prohibited items include explosive or flammable substances, like aerosols and matches, and gels and liquids in containers with a volume of more than 3null4 ounces (100 milliliters).
What to wear on a flight:
- The narrow aisles of your plane are not the place for a fashion parade. Don comfortable layers and remember to bring a cardigan as it tends to get cool in the cabin during long-haul flights. Flat, slightly roomy shoes are also a wise idea.
- A condition called deep vein thrombosis (DVT) can pose a risk on long-haul flights. It's the result of blood clotting due to inactivity and poor circulation. Walking around the cabin and doing regular leg and foot exercises while seated is a great way to prevent this from happening. Wearing a high-quality pair of compression socks or tights is also recommended.
