Wherever you're jetting in from, flying can be a seamless experience if you've prepared well enough. We've made a list of handy tips and tricks that will get your David Sur escape started on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Travelling on a plane can be a pleasure if you pack the right stuff. Firstly, you'll need basic toiletry items, such as deodorant and a toothbrush, a spare change of clothes and something to read. Next, find room in your bag for your laptop, a charger, your medications and maybe a cosy neck pillow as well. Last, but definitely not least, don't forget to bring your passport, travel docs and your bank cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- While the list of prohibited items differs between airlines, the general rule of thumb is avoid carrying anything sharp, flammable or explosive. This includes things like screwdrivers, drills, aerosol cans and bleaching agents. Sports equipment like golf clubs, and objects that could injure passengers, such as firearms and ammunition, can't come on board with you either.
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of a plane aren't the place for a fashion parade. Dress in comfortable layers and choose shoes that are closed-toe, flat and easy to take on and off.
- The result of sustained periods of immobility, deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a blood clotting condition that can affect passengers on long-distance flights. Reduce the risks by staying hydrated, keeping your ankles and legs moving and wearing compression socks or tights.
