No matter where you're coming from, flying can be a seamless experience if you've prepared well enough. We've made a list of handy travel tips that will get your Dongshi holiday started on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- First things first, pack in your passport, official ID, cash and vital medications. Next, you'll need some in-flight entertainment to help pass the time. A thrilling novel and a phone filled with your favourite shows are some great options. If you plan to catch forty winks, a quality neck pillow and a pair of earplugs will also come in handy. Finally, make room for a toothbrush and some cleansing wipes so you'll touchdown looking fresh and raring to go.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Make sure you don't have a pocket knife lurking in one of the zippers of your carry-on luggage. Other banned items include flammable or explosive substances, such as bleach and fuel, and liquids and gels in containers with a capacity of more than 3null4 ounces (100 milliliters).
What to wear on a flight:
- Comfort should always be your prime concern when deciding what to wear during your flight. Consider your choice of footwear with care too, as swollen feet are a common occurrence. Flat shoes which are slightly roomy are always a good idea.
- A condition called deep vein thrombosis (DVT) can pose a risk on long-distance flights. It's the result of blood clotting due to poor circulation and inactivity. Doing regular foot and leg exercises in your seat helps to prevent this developing. Wearing a good-quality pair of compression tights or socks may also help.
