We've got the lowdown on how to make your journey as enjoyable as possible. Follow our top tips and you'll be breezing through the airport and discovering Eureka Springs in next to no time. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Flying can be a cruisy experience if you carry the right things. Firstly, you'll want some toiletry items, such as a toothbrush and hairbrush, a fresh set of clothes and a few magazines. Secondly, find a spot in your bag for your phone and charger, medications and maybe a proper neck pillow too. Last, but definitely not least, be sure to take your passport, travel documents and some cash.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Squeeze all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hair gel in your checked baggage. Any liquids in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres) will be confiscated. Sharp or pointed objects, like your treasured pocket knife, and dangerous goods which are explosive or flammable, such as aerosol cans, spray paint and poisons, are also not allowed.
What to wear on a flight:
- Your aim is to be as comfortable as possible. Go for flat, closed-toe shoes, dress in loose, breathable clothing and don't forget to bring a jacket in case it gets cold in the cabin.
- Caused by sustained periods of immobility, deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a blood clotting condition that can affect passengers on long-distance flights. Lower your risks by staying hydrated, keeping your legs and feet moving and wearing compression socks or tights.
