We've got the lowdown on how to make your journey an enjoyable experience. Follow our tips and tricks and you'll be hightailing it through the airport and enjoying Fakenham in no time flat. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Flying can be easy if you pack the right things. First of all you'll need basic toiletries, such as deodorant and a toothbrush, a fresh change of clothes and a magazine or two. Secondly, leave space in your carry-on bag for your electronic devices, chargers, any medications and maybe a neck pillow as well. Lastly, and most importantly, be sure to bring your passport, travel documents and your credit cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Check carefully that you don't have a pocket knife lurking in one of the compartments of your hand luggage. Other restricted items include explosive or flammable substances, such as fuel and fireworks, and liquids and gels in containers with a capacity of more than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres).
What to wear on a flight:
- Go for comfort over style. Prepare for temperature changes in the cabin by dressing in layers, and wear flat, closed-toe footwear like sneakers.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot condition caused by lengthy periods of inactivity, can be a risk on long-haul flights. Make a point of walking around the cabin or do some simple exercises in your seat to improve your circulation.
