Depending on where you're coming from, your trip to Gaya Island could be no sweat at all or it could go on forever. We've put together some tips that will help you start your next great adventure on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- It's simple — first, pack in your passport, official ID, wallet and daily medications. Next, you'll need some in-flight entertainment to help pass the time. A juicy book and a tablet filled with your favourite shows are good options. If you hope to catch more than just forty winks, a neck pillow and a pair of noise-cancelling headphones will also be useful. Finally, leave some space for a toothbrush and some facial wipes to ensure you step off the plane looking fresh and raring to go.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Make sure you don't have sharp objects (like a pocket knife) lurking in the bottom of your carry-on luggage. Other restricted items include flammable or explosive goods, such as fuel and fireworks, and gels and liquids in containers with a volume of more than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres).
What to wear on a flight:
- Comfort should be your priority when choosing what to wear on board. Loose clothing is a sensible choice, as are flat, enclosed shoes.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a potential risk on long-haul flights. It's the result of blood clots forming due to poor circulation and inactivity, so do some gentle leg and foot exercises in your seat and consider wearing compression socks.
