No matter where you're coming from, flying can be a seamless experience if you prepare well enough. We've put together a list of handy travel tips that will help get your Granada escape started on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Air travel can be easy if you bring the right gear. First of all you'll need basic toiletry items, such as deodorant and a toothbrush, a fresh set of clothes and a magazine or two. Secondly, find room in your bag for your electronic gadgets, chargers, your important medications and maybe a proper neck pillow too. Lastly, don't forget to take your passport, travel docs and your bank cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Put all your full-sized bottles of hair gel and hairspray in your checked luggage. Any gels or liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres) will be confiscated by security. Sharp or pointed objects, like your pocket knife, and dangerous products which are explosive or flammable, such as aerosol cans, flares and matches, are also restricted.
What to wear on a flight:
- Your main priority is to feel as comfortable as possible. Choose slip-on footwear, dress in loose, natural-fibre clothing and remember to take a jacket in case it gets chilly in the cabin.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) can pose a risk on long-haul flights. It results from blood clots forming due to poor circulation, so do some gentle leg and foot exercises in your seat and consider wearing compression socks.
