Depending on where you're coming from, your flight to Higashihiroshima could be as easy as pie or it could go on forever. We've pulled together some handy tips that will help you start your next great adventure on a positive note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- First things first, pack your passport, travel docs, wallet and medications. Next, you'll want some extra in-flight entertainment to while away the hours. A thrilling book and a laptop crammed with your favourite shows are always good options. If you intend to catch a few z's, a comfy neck pillow and some noise-cancelling headphones will also be useful. Finally, make room for a few toiletry items so you'll step off the plane looking fresh and raring to go.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Leave all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and conditioner in your checked baggage. Any liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres) won't be allowed on. Sharp or pointed objects, like your beloved Swiss Army knife, and dangerous products which are flammable or explosive, such as flares, bleaching agents and gasoline, are also banned.
What to wear on a flight:
- Your aim here is to be as comfortable as possible. Go for a pair of flat, closed-toe shoes, dress in loose, natural fibers and don't forget to take a jacket in case it gets cold in the cabin.
- Caused by sustained periods of inactivity, deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a blood clotting condition that can affect passengers on long-distance flights. Lower your risks by drinking water, keeping your lower limbs moving and wearing compression socks to help your circulation.
