We’ve got the lowdown on how to make your journey as stress-free as possible. Follow our tips and you’ll be zooming through the airport and having a blast in Hpa-An before you know it.What to pack in your hand luggage:
- First things first, put in your passport, official ID, wallet and medications. Next, you’ll want some extra in-flight entertainment to while away the hours. A juicy novel and a laptop filled with your favourite shows are good options. If you hope to take a short snooze, a neck pillow and a pair of earplugs will also be useful. Finally, find room for a toothbrush and some deodorant to ensure you arrive at your destination looking fresh and raring to go.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Pack all your full-sized bottles of hair gel and hairspray in your checked baggage. Any liquids in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3null4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated. Pointed or sharp objects, like your trusty pocket knife, and dangerous products which are explosive or flammable, such as flares, bleaching agents and poisons, are also not allowed.
What to wear on a flight:
- The narrow aisles of a plane are no fashion runway. Layer yourself up with comfortable clothes and remember to bring a sweater as the temperature can drop in the cabin during long-haul flights. Enclosed, flat shoes are also a sensible choice.
- Most travellers are aware of deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot condition caused by long periods of inactivity. There’s lots you can do to reduce your risk. Wear a pair of compression socks or tights, stay well hydrated and get your legs and feet moving. Wander up and down the aisles of the cabin or try out some simple stretches in your seat.
